Our vision is to restore the Thatched Hamlet as a destination where people can come together to relax, celebrate and enjoy the charm of the Lancashire countryside.

We’re thoughtfully reimagining the space to offer a range of experiences, including welcoming countryside stays, relaxed dining, and a beautiful setting for events, special occasions and celebrations. Whether it’s a weekend away, a meal with loved ones, or a memorable event, our aim is to create a place that feels warm, characterful and, most importantly, full of life.

At its heart, ‘Owd Nell’s and the Thatched Hamlet will once again be a place for gathering – where family, friends and visitors can slow down, reconnect and enjoy time well spent together.

Our first step was to reopen ‘Owd Nell’s Tavern and a small selection of bedrooms, brining the heart of the Thatched Hamlet back to life as a welcoming place to eat, drink and gather.

Looking ahead, our longer-term plans include the gradual reintroduction of full scale accommodation, alongside an enhanced restaurant offering. We will also host events, special celebrations and weddings at The Roundhouse at the Thatched Hamlet, restoring it as a destination for memorable moments and bringing it in to our award-winning Dream Venues collection.

Yes, we know how popular the historic events at were, and we’re excited to bring them back.

We’re now hosting a weekly quiz night again every Thursday, and have exciting plans for other favourites like the Oyster Festival and the Cider Festival. We’re planning to reintroduce many of the events that made the Thatched Hamlet such a lively place to visit. We’d love to hear which ones you enjoyed the most, so keep an eye out as we begin brining them back!
